Upcoming patch 091f
Road to Hollow Hills » Devlog
Hello there!
Hope you are doing well. We certainly are, and we're excited to announce a new patch that not only fixes bugs, but also adds more content to the demo.
We're currently preparing the patch for release this weekend. Once again, thank you for your support and for sharing your gameplay videos. Your feedback has been invaluable, so we're giving back by adding even more content to the demo.
Here are the highlights of the patch:
Bugs Fixed:
- Occasionally, animations would overlap. This issue is a bit tricky and still not 100% fixed, but it's definitely improved from before.
- Music and SFX volume has been halved. We also lowered the volume of the trailer music, as it was a bit too loud!
- Fixed fading glitches. Fades were sometimes inconsistent or repeated twice. Now they should work much better.
- Document can now be clicked on after the first time.
- Fixed issue where pausing the game or opening the inventory would still animate the player.
- Fixed a puzzle in National Park that could potentially soft lock the game.
- The shingle altar will now animate correctly.
- Enemies can no longer be stun-locked by constant attacks.
- Opening the inventory now properly highlights the first item in the category.
- Enemies will now jump if needed to reach the player.
Improvements:
- When selecting jackets, the information will now remain visible for longer.
- Improved animation for opening doors/gates. They're not perfect yet, but they're definitely less ugly.
- Added more hints and descriptions to the game. These provide additional information where we feel it's needed. The hints can be toggled on or off, so you can play at your own pace.
- Ambient sounds are now more dynamic and varied.
- Text descriptions will remain clear even if the player moves away from the object that originated them.
- Two new major Echoes have been added to the Mental Palace.
- Restored photo mode! Press P to open it.
- Player now responds better when rolling.
- Improved widget panel for the shingles.
- Shadowed Grove now has more traps.
- Added a bit more gore for the Dryads enemies.
We will continue adding more notes to this post as new fixes are implemented until the release of this patch.
Cheers!
